WRAD featured at LISTECHON’26 in India

World Radiotherapy Awareness Day (WRAD) was featured at LISTECHON’26, held at Lisie Hospital in Kochi, India, on 19 July 2026.
The conference welcomed 120 delegates and featured 13 guest lectures focused on advances in radiotherapy technology and clinical practice. Radiation Therapists, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Oncology Nurses and Students came together to exchange knowledge and strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration in cancer care.
The awareness activity was organised by the Global Association of Radiation Therapists (GART) and coordinated with the support of WRAD Regional Champion for India, Subrata Roy, alongside the GART leadership and LISTECHON’26 Organising Committee.
Radiation therapists, students, educators and healthcare professionals took part by displaying WRAD placards and sharing messages highlighting patient-centred care, equitable access to radiotherapy and greater recognition of the professionals who deliver this vital cancer treatment.
Ravindran Gopal, Founder and President of GART, said:
“World Radiotherapy Awareness Day is more than a celebration, it is a global movement to raise awareness of radiotherapy, recognise the dedication of radiation therapists and advocate for equitable access to quality cancer treatment.”
Following the event, Subrata Roy met with the GART leadership to discuss future opportunities to support WRAD through awareness campaigns, educational programmes and collaborations across India.
The event demonstrates how WRAD Regional Champions and partner organisations are bringing the campaign to local and professional communities around the world, uniting with One Voice for Radiotherapy.
